The creation of the band was inspired by the Burgas-based duo D' Family playing since 1999 featuring Zornitsa Dimitrova - vocal and Stanimir Dimitrov - acoustic guitar. D' Family & Friends was specially designed to write songs in their own style and inspiration. Neither of the four band members has ever been to a music-school, but but they share the opinion that this fact only adds up to their warm and objective relationship toward music. The two new members Martin (drums) and Miro (former Jango Ze bass-guitar) were attracted to the band after careful selection. The major requirement was for them to have the same feeling toward music and creation. Thus, they enjoyed together in the same way the shared pleasure of the harmony they achieved.
The daily round of D' Family & Friends is totally different: Stanimir has his own architectural company NewLevel Architects Ltd ( www.newlevel.bg ), which also became the producer of their first CD album, called "Seven Days In Heaven". Zornitsa is a housing loan expert at Eurobank, Miroslav is a scientific worker at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, and Martin is the only one who is totally devoted to music - he is the drumer of Siluet rock band and a song-engineer as well. Most of the English lyrics are written by Phil Jackson. The album "Seven Days In Heaven" was promoted on 3 concerts in Sofia and Burgas in December 2009.
