"Colors of Japan" is the first album released by Nick Beman, aka Nicklas Bjorkman. The project originated when one of his musical friends on the internet came back from a trip to Japan and showed him the wonderful places he'd seen. Inspired by the pictures Nick wanted to give them life, and also explain the emotions that emerged for him as his affection for for japanese culture and nature grew.
Emotional pads, atmospheric musical landscapes, written with both western and eastern influences. "Colors of Japan" starts off as a more chillout oriented album but transcends into ambient / soundtrack after a few tracks.
Close your eyes for a moment, and let the music take you on a journey to a special place of Nicklas heart.
Nicklas Bjorkman punctuates his musical vision with various types of percussive accents in these glossy, ethereal, soul enveloping songs that invite you to create a private space where you can totally relax and open up to a pastiche of dreamlike experiences and imaginary adventures that are truly magical.
His new CD "Colors of Japan" is an awesome album filled from start to finish with music that is simply stunning. One can feel as well as hear a variety of intricate sound vibrations as they manifest through the soul and hands of a masterful musician who deeply understands the complexities of New Age music and embraces them with a synergy that is truly unique.
"Colors of Japan" is exquisite, exciting & innovative. Highly Recommended!
