We are glad to announce very special addition to AMAdea's family. AMAdea Records officially signed the Norwegian composer Jonas Kroon, great talent born in the cold lands of Scandinavia. He is creating cinematic music with a blend of world, electronic and orchestral elements. On the top of that he is working as full-time as a composer and producer for film and television since 2008.

Introducing Jonas

Jonas Kroon is a Norwegian composer creating cinematic music with a blend of world, electronic and orchestral elements. Thinking of composition as way of opening windows into other worlds, Jonas makes music that spurs the imagination, sometimes in a way similar to artists like Deep Forest, Enigma and Vangelis. Influenced by film composers like Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman and Howard Shore, Jonas is not afraid of going epic. Still, in-between passages of orchestral power there are small moments. No grand and brave without the intimate and fragile. Jonas Kroon's debut album Melo is electronic yet organic, peaceful yet dramatic, full of melodic beauty and quirky vocals.




Jonas speaks about his current projects

Having finished the four-year process of making Melo, I'm going to take a little break and spend some time on other projects. I'll be composing music for film and television and producing a couple of albums for other artists.




...and his future projects

I will go to Sweden this summer and start working on my next album. I have a little writing suite at my father's cabin close to a little lake in the woods there. It's quiet, a beautiful place. I will bring my laptop and some portable recording equipment and spend a few weeks, to see what I can come up with.
